BMX racing · ages 5–12XKIDS BMX is a full racing pathway for kids roughly 5–12 — from first gate start to provincial and national competition. Structured training, real coaching, age-appropriate progression.

Not sure which BMX size or path fits your child?
Family Hub turns scattered race signals — chip times, registrations, schedules, gear changes — into a single picture you can act on as a parent.
Best lap, finish rank, and same-track delta — clear about whether the change is real or just a different track.
Save the rider's timing chip number once. Future runs link straight to Sqorz training history — no re-typing.
Pick the tracks you actually attend. The hub shows upcoming races with verified BMX Canada source links and Google Maps directions.
Mark a race as on-calendar in one tap. No fake registered status — Register only shows when there's a verified official link.
Bike, gear, plate, transponder — kept per-rider, with notes for what changed before each race.

Four ways to take the next step. No commitment, no contract — start with any of them.

Trained coaches with racing backgrounds. Every session has a plan, a drill set, and feedback.

Club practice → local race → provincials → nationals. Riders progress at their own pace, but the route is clear.

Kids train, travel, and race as a team. Jerseys, number plates, team days — belonging matters.

Before signing your kid up, here's the whole system — the same one XKIDS takes every rider through.
Short, flat-out sprint races on a dirt track — gate start, straights, berms, small jumps, finish line. Heats of 4–8 riders, usually a minute or less per run. Skill matters more than strength.
First session is an intro practice, not a race. Loaner bike, gate basics, one straight at a time. Kids in the 5–12 range often roll up to their first race within a few weeks, when they're ready — no pressure to rush.
XKIDS training is built around race-day skills: gate release, pedaling under pressure, line choice in berms, heat traffic. Nothing in training is filler — every drill maps to something you'll see on race day.
Arrive early, bike check, sign in, open practice on the track, then motos (qualifying runs), then main event. Whole day is family-friendly — most locals are parents who started the same way.
Most riders start at sanctioned local races (Stouffville BMX). Consistent results move them to the Ontario provincial series, then the Canadian national series. There's no gatekeeping — points and racing earn the next level.
Four structured levels. Move up when skills — not age — are ready.

Represent XKIDS BMX as a team rider.

XKIDS BMX trains and races at Stouffville BMX — a sanctioned outdoor track in the Greater Toronto Area. It's where most of our riders run their first race, and where the team trains through the outdoor season.
Practice days and race days vary by season. XKIDS runs team sessions on set evenings — contact us for the current schedule.
A mix of local races, provincial rounds, training days, and XKIDS-specific race prep sessions. Real dates appear here once the season calendar locks.

You don't need a race bike to start. You do need the right fit.
XNXT by XKIDS offers race-specific upgrades — wheels, grips, plates, race pads. See the store when you're ready.

The questions families ask us most often in the first week.
No. Most XKIDS BMX riders start with zero BMX experience. Basic balance on a pedal bike is enough — a first session teaches gate starts and straight lines.
A BMX race bike (20" or 24") is ideal but not required on day one. Loaner bikes are available at a first practice. When you're ready to buy, XKIDS helps with sizing through Fit Lab.
Full-face helmet, long sleeves, long pants, closed shoes. Gloves strongly recommended. See the Equipment Guide section below for specifics.
Register through the sanctioned track or series — e.g., Stouffville BMX for local races, the Ontario Provincial series for provincials. XKIDS walks families through their first registration.
Yes — through two paths. Fit Lab gives a technical starting point for gear ratio, crank length, and fit. Bike Service & Fit Check does the actual race-prep tune before your event.
Totally fine. A first session is meant to be a one-time try. Most kids come back for a second, but there's no commitment and no pressure.
